How To Solve The Stargazers' Ruins Puzzle In Elden Ring

A tale of spirit jellyfish sisters.

Elden Ring is full of mysterious puzzles that can be quite challenging and not obvious to solve, and one of them is the Stargazers' Ruins. This location is situated in the western part of the Mountaintop of the Giants. To reach the ruins, you must pass through Leyndell, the Royal Capital, and then use the Grand Lift of Rold.

After arriving at the Stargazers' Ruins, you'll notice a staircase leading underground, but unfortunately, there's a magical barrier that blocks your path. To make progress, you'll need to assist a spirit jellyfish that stands near the stairway.

In order to unlock the magic barrier at Stargazers' Ruins, you must help a friendly spirit jellyfish located near the stairway. When you interact with her, she will express her wish to reunite with her lost sister.

Fortunately, you probably already have the solution to this puzzle if you've made it this far in the game. The solution lies within the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes given to you by Roderika early on.

If you're wondering where is Roderika, she can initially be found in Stormhill Shack in Limgrave. However, if you happen to miss her there, you can easily locate her in the Roundtable Hold.

All you have to do now is simply equip and summon the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes close to the Stargazer jellyfish. Upon doing so, the two will reunite, interact with each other, and then disappear.

But don't worry about losing your Spirit Jellyfish Ashes during this process; you will still have access to it. This action will successfully unlock the magic barrier, allowing you to progress further in the Stargazers' Ruins.

If you've confused the jellyfish as an enemy and killed it, don't worry. It will respawn anytime you rest at a Site of Grace.

As your reward for helping the jellyfish spirit, you will get the Fancy Spin gesture. However, the real price lies behind that barrier.

Now that the barrier is unlocked, you will find a chest inside the Stargazer Ruins. Open the chest to obtain the Primal Glintstone Blade talisman.

This talisman is particularly useful for Intelligence Build as it reduces the FP cost of all sorceries by 25 percent. However, it comes with a penalty of 15 percent of your maximum health.
