All 12 Enchanted Cards In Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter (& How Much They're Worth)

Aug 12, 2023

Enchanted cards are the rarest variety in Disney Lorcana, with special artwork and foil, and some are already being valued quite highly.

Disney Lorcana is the latest trading card game to hit the market, with its first set featuring 12 coveted Enchanted cards, the TCG's highest rarity. Enchanted cards are expected to be some of Lorcana's most valuable. They don't offer any extra benefits when it comes to playing the game, but they do sport alternate, borderless artwork with a special foil process first seen on Lorcana's D23 promo cards. Lorcana only recently released at local game stores on August 18, with a wider release set for September 1, but Enchanted cards pulled so far are already fetching very high prices.

Lorcana's first set, known as The First Chapter, has 204 numbered cards arranged into six different rarities – Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Legendary, and Enchanted. At first, the Enchanted cards (which have numbers exceeding the set's 204) were kept under wraps, a surprise to be revealed closer to launch. Strangely enough, Disney Lorcana's rarest Enchanted card isn't even an actual card per se, but a factory error printed with the Enchanted foil pattern. While such oddities will likely fetch a high price in the long run, Lorcana's 12 current, genuine Enchanted cards are already hitting the resell market with steep asking prices.

Card number 215/204, Simba - Returned King, appears to be the least sought after Disney Lorcana Enchanted card at the time of writing, according to TCGplayer. Still, its market price is roughly $121, and as one of the very few Enchanted cards available, is likely to remain rather expensive compared to the rest of The First Chapter. The card's artwork has the protagonist of The Lion King ascending a hill, backlit by an ominous bolt of lightning.

The villain of Disney's Hercules graces the front of the Enchanted-rarity Hades - King of Olympus Lorcana card, #205. Its market price according to TCGplayer is only slightly above Simba's, coming in at about $123. The artwork here is a bit more striking, with Hades' left hand reaching into the foreground, while his wide smile bares sharp teeth.

Mickey Mouse - Artful Rogue is the first of two Lorcana Enchanted cards to feature the iconic character. As the mascot for The Walt Disney Company, this is rather unsurprising, especially in the game's first set. #210 Artful Rogue has the lower worth of the two, though, currently at an estimated market price of $126 (via TCGplayer).

TCGplayer's next highest market price (just barely) for Lorcana's 12 first-set Enchanted cards is $127 for Genie - On the Job. Genie, voiced by the beloved Robin Williams in the original 1992 animated film, occupies the front of #209, snapping his fingers to apparently shrink a soldier with glee.

Hailing from a more recent Disney sensation, 2016's Moana, is Maui. His Enchanted card, #212, carries a TCGplayer market price of around $131. Much like the other cards, Maui - Hero to All shows its subject in action, holding a giant hook reminiscent of those used for fishing, as he runs toward the viewer. Maui is notably voiced by Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson in Moana, former WWE Champion turned Hollywood superstar.

The second appearance from Aladdin among Lorcana's Enchanted cards, the eponymous character graces the front of Aladdin - Heroic Outlaw, #211. Valued slightly higher than its Genie partner, TCGplayer has Aladdin - Heroic Outlaw listed with a market price of $137. Although Aladdin managing two Enchanted cards in The First Chapter is notable, it wouldn't be surprising to see future ones feature Jasmine, Jafar, or Abu, who are all very popular characters in their own right.

Protagonist of the 1959 classic, Sleeping Beauty, has her own Enchanted Lorcana card, Aurora - Dreaming Guarding. The name of the #213 card seems to suggest Aurora's eyes aren't just closed in the artwork, but the princess is actually asleep. According to TCGplayer, Aurora - Dreaming Guardian is worth roughly $165, putting this card in the top half the most expensive Enchanted cards.

Tinker Bell takes on a towering stature, picking up Captain Hook's ship in her Enchanted card, numbered 216. Tinker Bell - Giant Fairy has a market price of $195 on TCGplayer. As expected, Tinker Bell's Enchanted card has in-game abilities derived from its entertaining artwork – Rock the Boat and Puny Pirate! Alongside Mickey, it's equally unsurprising to see Tinker Bell qualify for the first run of Enchanted Lorcana cards; her popularity has made her something of an unofficial mascot for Disney.

#206, Stitch - Carefree Surfer, currently has a market value of roughly $197 (via TCGplayer). The card's value is likely in part because of its charming artwork, which features Stitch – of Lilo & Stitch fame – doing a handstand on a surfboard, while simultaneously reaching for a sandwich that's made its way into the mouth of an airborne fish. With Stitch being Experiment 626 in a long line of extraterrestrial beings that came to Earth in the film, Lilo & Stitch has plenty of inspiration for future Lorcana cards.

Belle, as one of the most recognizable Disney Princesses, is a perfect choice for inclusion in The First Chapter's Enchanted cards, and is fittingly among the top three most valuable, having a TCGplayer market value of $231. The Beauty and the Beast protagonist appears in the artwork for card #214, Belle - Strange but Special. The bookworm has been a Disney icon since the animated film debuted in 1991, so it's not shocking to see her Enchanted card come in at a price over $200.

Mickey Mouse - Wayward Sorcerer, The First Chapter card #208, is the mascot's second of two Enchanted cards. This one is much more coveted than the Artful Rogue card, bearing a market value of $255 on TCGplayer. However, the value of Mickey Mouse - Wayward Sorcerer appears to be rapidly increasing, as all current listings on TCGplayer have an asking price well over $300.

Frozen's monumental success, including multiple box office hits and the inescapable chart-topper, "Let It Go," makes Elsa's Enchanted Lorcana card being the most valuable practically expected. Elsa - Spirit of Winter's market value is currently around $425 (via TCGplayer), but most listings are approaching or reaching $600. Other Elsa Disney Lorcana cards are already selling for a lot of money too, and as the most valuable of The First Chapter's Enchanted cards, Elsa - Spirit of Winter, #207, will likely continue to be worth a lot as the TCG sees more sets release.
